Story

Long ago there lived king Abhinandan in Hemavat Nagar. He wanted to rule Lord Indra’s Kingdom (Indra-Pad) When Indra came to know that he is performing yadnya to get Indra-pad. He has created a demon called Vighnasur to destroy the yadnya. Vighnasur not only destroyed his yadnya but also destroyed all vedic acts(religious actions) on the earth. So everyone worshipped Lord Ganesha to save them from Vighnasur. At that time Lord Ganesha has taken the incarnation and fought with Vighnasur at Junner. Finally he caught Vighneshwar and made him prisoner. He surrenders and prayed him and requested him for not killing him. He also requested Lord Ganesha to call himself by names Vighneshwar or Vighna-harta(destroyer of all obstacles and danger). Lord Ganesh accepted this request and told him that you are admitted in my people (gana samuday). Who ever is starting the yadnya by calling Vighna-har or Vighneshwar, his yaghya will be protected by me and you should not destroy the yadnya.. Everyone on earth was happy by the defeat of Vighnasur. On Bhadrapad Shuddha Chaturthi idol of Ganesha was installed at Ozar by all gods. This is the Vighneshwar of Ozar.
